The CMS Consulting approach varies depending on the size, timeline, resources and preferences of our clients. One significant differentiator compared to our competition, however, is our preference to approach enterprise engagements with a phased approach, and out-sourced IT consulting on a time and material basis.
Consulting Engagements.

Too often we see our competition providing responses to RFPs that include everything from the initial assessment, through design and implementation. It never fails to amaze us that consulting firms will provide implementation estimates for infrastructure and security work, when they haven't the first clue what the client currently has, or what the client will eventually require to respond to their business objectives.

The CMS approach typically begins with an assessment. It's crucial to figure out where you're currently at, and where you need to go, to create an accurate and cost-effective approach, rather than assuming what you'll need and providing an estimate prematurely. Any blind estimates that you receive from our competitors will be padded in their favour, representing what they want to sell and a worst case delivery schedule. Very unlikely is this what you need and an accurate estimate of the time and resources required to implement.
